International Jazz Festival Enschede

The International Jazz Festival Enschede organised a contest for jazzsingers: Jazzerieje They had to sing in the dialect of Twente and were accompanied by the Mathilde van de Veen Quartet with guitar and a horn section. Merel Moelker won the first price.

EP is out

It's been a while since we start recording three of my own songs, but finally we finished everything for my first EP: "First Of All. I'm proud to play with my own trio with Lito Mabjaia on bass and Stefan Schneider on drums. Mark Lucassen plays does a great job on "Adjust Time" with his saxophone. And I couldn't be happier to have Ruud Ouwehand en Jeroen Rol playing on some songs!
